Gillie Mackenzie's debut solo album, Griais, (pronounced gree-ash) named after the village where she grew up. This work comprises traditional and self-penned mainly Gaelic (and a smattering of English) songs inspired by her life in Lewis and in the Lothians. She worked with a wonderful array of musicians in creating the album, including Ewan MacPherson (also producing), Alasdair White, Mhairi Hall, James Macintosh, Ailig Hunter, Amy Geddes and Mattie Foulds (engineering).
