By Request is a collection of Eric Bogle's most requested songs all of which feature on his earlier albums The Eric Bogle Songbook vols 1 and 2. Eric was born in Scotland in 1944, and in 1969 he emigrated to Australia where he still lives. He has been writing songs and poems since he was eight years old - possibly his most recognizable and popular song is And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda which to date has been recorded by over 100 artists.
